A HUMAN SPACE PROGRAM PRODUCTION
Launching in April, 2022
Space Philosophy Podcast
Hosted by Jared Angaza, MaryLiz Bender, and Frank White
Overview Sessions is a space for authentic conversations about humanity and our relationship with the cosmos.
Our future in space will be determined by who we resolve to be on Earth, today.
Objective
The objective of these conversations is to inspire listeners to live and lead from an Overview Perspective.
“The world we have created is a product of our thinking; it cannot be changed without changing our thinking.”
~ Albert Einstein ~
To solve our most intractable problems, we must change the way we see the world.
What we’re talking about.
We’re bringing together commercial space leaders, philanthropists, nonprofit directors, philosophers, scientists, entertainers, astronauts, and other influencers in the space community for meaningful, authentic conversations.
We’re talking about what we believe and how we want to interact together on Earth and beyond.
- What kind of society do we want to foster?
- How will we explore and develop and evolve?
- How will we explore and develop and evolve?
- What will our relationship be with the cosmos?
- How do we effectively unite humanity?
- How do we cultivate harmony between humans and the planet?
- What do we want to take with us, and what do we want to be sure to leave behind?
Purpose
Our perspective forms the foundation for how we interact with the world.
Our actions, policies, and culture are determined by the collective values and priorities we uphold.
The most pervasive and chronic societal challenges are reflections of the perspectives that perpetuate them.
To sustainably address these problems, we must address the perspective that upholds the system, rather than the symptom.
Overview Perspective
Astronauts viewing the Earth from space are presented with an expanded opportunity to experience the profound beauty, fragility, and interconnectedness of our home planet.
They often experience a shift in identity or worldview that includes an intuitive understanding of this reality: The Overview Effect.
These astronauts gain an understanding of the miraculousness of life, and the beauty of our existence. They recognize that, as humans, our commonalities far outweigh our differences.
This awe-inspiring perspective renews our understanding of the Cosmos, and our relationship with our home planet and each other.
"Circling the Earth in my orbital spaceship I marveled at the beauty of our planet. People of the world, let us safeguard and enhance this beauty, not destroy it!"
Yuri Gagarin, the first human to journey into outer space
