The Human Space Program will develop simulations that may be conducted in every medium from virtual tabletop exercises to immersive role-playing exercises using Augmented and Virtual Reality environments.
The immediate objective of HSP Simulations will be to develop scenarios that can synthesize and test hypotheses put forth by the HSP Task Forces.
As Guidelines for each Task Force area are developed, the HSP Simulation team will work on scenarios that allow the controlled testing of those hypotheses in single or combinations of variables. The results of these exercises will feed into the Repository of Knowledge so that they can be shared as learning experiences.
A further dimension of HSP Simulations will be to develop and support computer modeling of the impact of Large-Scale Space Migration on the solar ecosystem.
The Human Space Program Dimensions
All Spheres would have some variation of the original systems from the World3 Model
- Population System The population system considers the growth and dynamics of the global human population. It accounts for birth rates, death rates, migration, and other demographic factors. The model projects population growth over time, taking into account resource availability and environmental constraints.
- Nonrenewable Resources System This system accounts for finite resources like fossil fuels, minerals, and metals.
- Industrial System The industrial system represents economic activities, technological advancements, and industrial production. It considers factors like industrial output, energy consumption, and technological progress. Industrial growth affects resource utilization and pollution levels.
- Pollution System The pollution system addresses environmental consequences of industrial activities.
- Food System The food system deals with agriculture, land use, and food production.
It considers factors such as arable land, crop yields, and fertilizer availability. The finite land area and limitations in industrial output for agricultural inputs lead to potential food shortages.
As these nonrenewable resources are extracted, their availability decreases, and extraction becomes more challenging. The model explores the impact of resource depletion on industrial processes and overall sustainability.
It includes factors related to pollution, waste disposal, and ecological degradation. The model examines how pollution affects ecosystems and human well-being.
The HSP simulation expands the original five systems by modeling the Solarian Ecosystem from the Sun to the Oort Cloud. By taking into account space (which the World3 model did not) four dynamic systems boundaries represent the interaction between expanded Biospheres.
- Pollution System It is possible to pollute the Solar System with debris, especially around orbital habitats, and with careless asteroid mining.
- Nonrenewable Resources System The use of asteroid, lunar or other planetary materials to support all biospheres.
- Industrial System Commerce between biospheres.
- Population System Migration between biospheres.
- Air, Water, Food Systems To support life.
